During my recent Easter getaway at the Hilton Garden Inn St Augustine-Historic District, I was delighted by its prime location, just a short stroll from the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and Flagler College. The hotel itself felt fresh and inviting, having opened just three weeks prior – cleanliness was certainly one of its strong suits. Though my visit had its hiccups—like a hiccup with the coffee pot and a few breakfast delays due to staffing issues from a festive outing—I appreciated the manager’s dedication and the lovely bartender who whipped up an exceptional Old Fashion while keeping spirits high. The outdoor swimming pool and on-site fitness centre provided great relaxation options after a day of wandering through St Augustine’s rich history. If you’re like me, with a penchant for historic towns and comfortable stays, this hotel checks many boxes!
